We use personal information to provide our service to students and parents. We must have a lawful basis to collect and use personal information. This is explained below:
*NEEDED FOR ATTENDANCE RECORDS
We need to collect and use your personal information in order to post or email out attendance records to you. This includes information such as your name, home address and email address.
*‘Tuition Hub’ LEGITIMATE INTEREST
We collect information on each student’s date of birth and name of school. This is for market research purposes to gain intel on what age group and schools are most popular with the Tuition Hub.
*NEEDED FOR COMMUNICATION
We collect phone numbers of parents and students in order to keep them up to date on study times, absenteeism and changes happening in the day to day running of the study Tuition Hub. We also keep parents’ numbers on file in the event of an emergency.
*NEEDED IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY
We collect information on all medical conditions of our students. This is only collected in order to be fully prepared in the event of an emergency or if any extra staff training is needed or extra student support.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Contact forms
When you submit to our contact form we collect your name, e-mail, phone number and any other information you provide us with. We collect this information to allow us to process your request.
Booking Form
When you submit to our booking form we collect your name, date of birth, address, education details, e-mail, phone number and any other information you provide us with. We collect this information to allow us to process your booking.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with?
We do not share your personal data with any third parties.
How long we retain your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Personal data such as name, date of birth, address, education level and previous services with us, this information is kept for as long as students are a member of ‘Tuition Hub’. Some students are repeat students year on year so the information is kept.
What rights you have over your data?
If you have an account on this website, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Additional information
How we protect your data
All student information and registration forms are kept in a folder which is locked in a filing cabinet and kept in a secure room. Any data submitted through this website is also stored on a password encrypted database. Only ‘Tuition Hub’ tutors can access this data.
What data breach procedures we have in place?
We will inform all relevant parties within three days of detecting a data breach.
